To Prepare and Submit Paracetamol Paediatric Elixir B.P.C.

Formula:

Ingredientes                                Quantity Given

Pracetamol                         ----------   24gm

Intert syrup                       ----------.  275ml

Alcohol (95%).                   ---------.  100ml

Propylene glycol               --------.   100ml     

Concentrated Respberry juice ------ 25ml

Chloroform spirit.              -------    20ml

Amaranth solution.         ---------.   2ml

Glycerin.                           --------- to 1000ml

Procedure:

1. Dissolve paracetamol in the mixture of alcohol, propylene glycol and chloroform spirit.
2. Add the concentrated raspberry juice diluted with invert suyrup, amaranth solution.
3. And lastly added glycerin to produce required volume and mixed well.

Catagory: Analgesic and antipyretic.

Use: used to relieve fever in children.

Dose: 5 to 10ml according to age.

Storage: store in cool and dark place.

Alcohol content: 10-12%v/v.
